The 2 most utilised types of Isle of Man private companies are 1931 Act companies and 2006 Act companies (also called New Manx Vehicles). All Isle of Man companies must have a registered office in the Isle of Man – an official address that will be held on record at the Companies Registry.
The registered office should hold company documents including:
- The Memorandum and Articles of Association
- The Register of Directors, members and charges
- Copies of any documents submitted to the Companies Registry
2006 Act companies can only be formed by a licensed service provider and must appoint a registered agent. Therefore it is important that the registered agent understands the company’s activities.
Sanctuary holds the required licence and authorities to provide both registered agent and office services.
